Where To Bury A Dog

If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call.
Come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death,
and down the well-remembered path to your side again.

And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel,
they shall not growl at him, nor resent his coming,
for he belongs there.

People may scoff at you,
who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall,
who hear no whimper;

people who may never really have had a dog.
Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them,
and which is well worth the knowing.

The one best place then, to bury a dog,
is in the heart of his master...

Clover
CLOVER

Clover was my Angel.  She was truly sent from God.  She was the light of my life for the two short years she was with me, until that fateful date when she got out, and was taken away from me. I love her with all my heart, and I miss her greatly, but I know that I will be with her again someday.
Clo-vera Maria, my Angelface, my Darling, I love you, and I miss you, always.

Sir Snoots
SNOOTS
December 1979 ~ May 1995

Snoots and his wonderful personality and spunk made me fall in love with Westies!
I have four now, but Snoots is first in my heart.  He was born the same year my beloved Mother died.
He helped to fill a spot in my heart back then that was in desperate need of love.   I was young, and unable to afford to keep the house very warm during cold New England Winters, so I would tuck Snoots down at my feet at night, under the covers.   He kept me warm, and I say he saved my life back then.

Dear Hamish, my wee Westie.
I rescued him from a dog shelter at eight years old, and only had him a short time....two years and five weeks.  He got lymphosarcoma and we couldn't save him.  We had such a great life together.  I miss him so much!

"An angel on earth and an angel in heaven"

candle

I loved Boomer with all my heart and I still do!!  He was funny, cute, fun, friendly, and kind!  This is why I could not keep such a wonderful dog to myself forever, because God wanted him up in heaven with him.  He will always be my Best Friend, no matter how far apart we are.  His spirit will live on forever within my heart and soul!  I weep without him by my side, but forever in my heart he will stay!   I will love him always!!
