Request from Rainbow Bridge

Weep not for me though I am gone;
into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will but not for long,
upon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace,
my soul's at rest.
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was blessed;
for all those many years.

There is no pain,
I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these
things out of your thoughts.
In your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath;
remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
but celebrate my life.

To Our Dearest and Beloved Luigi:

Mommy and Daddy love and miss you so very much. Words cannot describe the pain we feel from losing you. You gave us  unconditional love and we only had to look into your beautiful Westie eyes to see that the love was genuine.

We are glad that you are no longer suffering, but we do look forward to being reunited with you one day. Our wonderful memories of you are what sustain us now. Those memories can never be taken away or replaced.

Eleven and a half years of total devotion from you is more than we ever imagined and we THANK YOU for each day of tail wagging, ever precious woosel smiles, long walks with pop, begging for carrots and lots of snuggling on all of your pillows just to mention a few things.

Luigi - we thank you so much for accepting and loving us. You were and still are the center of our universe. You are our life and you always will be in our hearts forever.

'Till  we meet again Sport - be a good boy - wait at the Rainbow Bridge for us and know that we love you more than anything and always remember...."You are my sunshine, my only sunshine...." Love you little boy.....

Love from Mom & Pop

Rest In Peace

I have sometimes thought of the final cause of dogs having such short lives
and I am quite satisfied that it is in compassion to the human race;
for if we suffer so much in losing a dog after an acquaintance of ten or twelve years,
what would it be if they were to live double that time? ~ Sir Walter Scott

Our Dear Sweet Heather,

God knew that you were suffering.
That the hills were hard to climb
So He gently closed your eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine."
In tears we watched you sinking
We watched you fade away
Our hearts were surely broken
You fought so hard to stay

But when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful, free from pain
We could not wish you back
To suffer that again
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home

Loveliest of lovely things are they
On earth that soonest pass away.
The rose that lives its little hour
Is prized beyond the sculpted flower.
