Organic agriculture is dedicated to sustainable farming methods of crop rotation, mulching, composting and cultivation, which improve the soil fertility and increase biodiversity. In comparison to conventional farming methods, organically grown foods have negligible or nonexistent pesticide residue. Plus there is far less soil erosion, and no chemical run-off from organic farms to pollute waterways and streams.
