The Astoria Fire Department is made up of two stations, the Career Chief,the Fire Marshall, the Administrative Assistant, 9 Career Firefighters, and 22 Volunteer Firefighters. The career personnel staff the 30th. St. station (STATION 1) and the volunteers respond to Uniontown (STATION 2). Together, the career and volunteers handle more than 800 calls per year (60% medical calls and 40% structure fires, car accidents, woods fires, and false alarms ).
