How close is the beach?

South Cape Beach is 0.8 miles. The bay is 0.2 miles.  You can see the water from the first floor family room.

 

 

Can we park at the beach?

You can park at the state beach by paying a daily rate.  You can also obtain a week pass for the beach parking in advance.  The application is available here (Weekly Beach sticker application)

 

How many people will the house sleep?

It sleeps 8.  There is a king size, queen size, 2 twin size, and a new queen size sofa bed.

 

 

Is there a bedroom on the first floor?

Yes, the queen size bed is on the first floor.

 

 

Are linens provided?

Linens are not provided but can be rented from a local agency.  The link to the business is Linen Rental

 

 

How many people can sit at the dining room table?

The dining room table seats eight.  There is also a pub table with 4 additional chairs.

 

 

What is there for kids to do on a rainy day?

Click on the “stuff to do” tab on the top menu.

 

 

Do you have a high chair and or crib?

We do not but there is a rental agency for all your baby and child needs.  Auntie Vi’s rents FULL SIZED solid maple and birch portable cribs (including mattresses), highchairs, strollers, sheets, towels, beach toys, TV/VCR or DVD combinations and more.  Follow the link here Baby and child needs or Essential Rentals

 

 

What restaurants are nearby?

Click on the “stuff to do” tab on the top menu and scroll to Dining.  You can also click on the “map” tab on the top menu and select “Find Businesses”.  Type in restaurants and the locations will show on the map.

 

 

Are there any services that provide meals so we don’t have to cook?

Where is the house located?

Click on the “Map” tab on the top menu.  You can select “Find directions” to get directions to your location.

 

 

Is there a boat ramp nearby?

The association has a private boat ramp two houses away.

 

 

Do you have a grill?

Yes we have a gas grill on the deck with the grill utensils.

 

 

How close is the water?

Two houses away is Great River on Waquoit Bay.  There is a bench to sit and watch the sunset.  It is also a great place to kayak or canoe.

 

 

Is there a playground?

On the next street, Manitoba there is another boat ramp, small beach and a playground for children.
