Aspie's Unite
Asperger's is a mild "highly functioning" form of autism.
People with the disorder really have a hard time understanding social cues that most people take for granted.
For example, if I make a face that shows I'm angry, an Aspie quite often won't match up that face with the emotion of angry.
Conversely, Aspie's can sometimes focus on structured tasks with amazing intensity. They are typically above average in intellegence as well.
Many programmers, engineers and scientists have aspie traits and may be "undiagnosed."
For more info, go to Asperger's at the Autism Society of America. For me, this affects my youngest son Ian. Huge strides are being made in helping these kids. It can be a strength and a weakness, so it's not all bad!

Nelson's Meats Site Goes Live
Robert's uncle owns Nelson's Meats in Hopkins, MN. I designed the nelsonsmeats.com web site for him. It matches the feel of the place, old fashioned and kinda 50's. I highly recommend them.

Fall Hunting in Southern MN
My friend Robert went with me on a one day pheasant hunt. He's not a hunter, but likes photography. See the photos in this pdf. >>

2007 Pheasant Hunting Opener - SD
I went pheasant hunting last weekend; it was the South Dakota opener. I went out to Webster, SD. The weather didn't cooperate very well & the hunting wasn't so great, but we had a bunch of fun anyway.
We stayed at the Day County Inn. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and warm. The staff was really great.

Pheasant Hunting Opener - MN
I went pheasant hunting for the 2007 Minnesota opener. I went down to Marshall, MN. Boy was it fun. Ruby cleaned house on birds. Four great points, four birds in my fridge.
I made a check list for hunting because I always forget stuff.

Java Developer's Trap League
The most exciting thing going on is trap shooting on Wednesday nights. It's a bit wierd carrying around guns with people that I work with, but it's really fun too.
Glotzman is the sharp-shooter of the group, destroying 97% of his targets last time out. He borrows my shotgun to do it, as he doesn't own one.
We go out to the MN Horse & Hunt Club. The houses that throw regular trap clays usually suck, but the staff is good there and the scenery is really pleasant. They stock cold Summit and have surprisingly great food!
Boy, I feel a bit redneck now. :-)

Sting
To go along with trap shooting, pheasant hunting & owning two dogs, I've purchased an old rusty truck. It's a 1992 Ford F150 4x4 XLT. It has
this big 'ol topper that goes up higher than the cab. It's truly ugly! I've adorned it with some pointer, pheasant & pheasants forever decals too. Wow, three redneck articles in a row...have to do some programming to snap out of this!
