Crunch Ingredients:
4 Cups of Apples or Rhubarb
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Oatmeal
3/4 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
1 Tsp. Cinnamon (to taste)
Sauce Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Procedure:
Combine Crunch ingredients. Press about half of it into a 9 inch pan.
Cover with Apples or Rhubarb.
Combine Sauce ingredients in a sauce pan.
Heat on low until mixture gets thick like gravy, wisk out any lumps.
Cover Apples or Rhubarb with the sauce
Top with remaining Crunch mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Let cool, serve with ice cream!
