The Wisconsin Mfd Home Owners Association encourages
you NOT to BUY a manufactured home. The building process,
both on-site and in the factories, is about cutting corners—using
inferior quality sheathing, cutting boards too short to meet
in the center of studs—problems that promote irregular
air exchange within a house and which eventually produce growth
of mold and excessive heating bills.
Additional problems: fraud, misdealing, false
statement, improper assembly, illegally based seizure of homes,
defective set up, worthless warranties, and suspect consumer
protection.
If you are unfortunate enough to get caught in
this malignant Pandora's Box as an unsuspecting consumer, you
will find yourself immersed in an endless war that will consume
the rest of your life and your life's income. You will get no
satisfaction from HUD or even some legislators and state agencies
because many have been corrupted by the MH industry—they
have been bought off with big money and the heady power of control
over millions of victims.

Your legislator is KEY
To date, legislators have heard very little from us
MHP homeowners. As a group, 99% of them know next to
NOTHING about our issues. We need to change that. WIMHOA lobbies
at various times at the
Capitol on your behalf, through letters, email, personal calls,
and visits. But NUMBERS of people showing up at
hearings and legislators' offices always has more impact.
YOU can lobby—make calls, send email or faxes,
and write letters from your home—as a member.
Writing on behalf of your WIMHOA-MHP Chapter will have more
clout. Onsite member visits at the Capitol may be infrequent, but plan
on appearing as part of a group when WIMHOA emails you to
make a show of force for a rally to
defend our issues!
SEE BELOW for
contact info for all Wisconsin state legislators.
Also BELOW are the pertinent Chapters in Statutes
and Administrative Code that YOU should be familiar with
when looking for the law that may affect you.
REMEMBER:
Tenant-Landlord issues reside under DATCP 125 and 134 www.datcp.state.wi.us ;
see also Statute 704 for rebating rent at www.wisconsin.gov
ALL OTHER MHP LAW is found under COMMERCE
DEPT Administrative Code, Safety and Buildings www.commerce.state.wi.us
Remember: Legislators are uneducated about
our lifestyle or our issues. Be persistent and
as tenacious as a bulldog—most
won't hear you the first or even the second time because
they won't believe we live in Little Russia's, or they will
side with Big Business.
