Hello Members of the Mighty Seventh District,
Here it is the first of May! Where are the warm temperatures? It probably won't be long and it will be up in the 80's.
Have you been to a Badger Girl State orientation in your area? Did you attend it with your delegates? Please make sure that they know about the orientation, so that they can get as much information as possible before they attend Badger Girls State. Please contact Department if you should have any problems with your delegates not attending, maybe an alternate could be found.
The Department President's testimonial is fast approaching. It will be held May 17 at the Legion Hall in Monroe, WI from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a program to be presented at 1:00 PM. Reservations are due by May 10th.
The year is winding down on membership. There are still some Units who have not turned any membership in for some time. Are you having a problem? Do you need some help? If you have a problem, please contact me and I will come to your Unit and try to be of some help. The District is currently in 10th place, with 90.47% of our memberships in. We need 374 memberships turned in to become 100%. We currently have 15 Units at 100% or more, 19 Units from 90 to 99%, 9 Units from 80 to 89%, 4 Units from 70 to 79%, 0 Units from 60 to 69%, 1 Unit from 50 to 59% and 2 Units below 50%. Please get back to working on memberships for the good of our Veterans.
May is Poppy month. Have you set a date for your Poppy Day! There are so many ways to promote the Poppy, for the benefit of our Veterans. I hope that you have found the one that best benefits your Unit. Do not forget to send in the 20% of your Poppy receipts to Department by June 16, 2008.
DID YOU SEND IN YOUR ANNUAL REPORTS? IT IS NOT TO LATE TO DO IT! SEND THEM IN NOW.
Do not forget about State Convention, coming up in July. It will be held in La Crosse. Start making your plans now.
