Introduction to the Kiwanis Club
of Carrollton "Golden K"

Kiwanis Club of Carrollton Golden K was organized June l, l994, and chartered August 10, l994. Its members are individuals who give a little of their time and resources to make Carrollton, Carroll County and the world a better place to live.

We have adopted the "Young Children: Priority One" theme as the club's major emphasis for giving. Since l994, we have given more than three hundred thousand dollars to projects on the local level such as the Salvation Army, Ferst Foundation, St. Margaret's Outreach, Camp Sunshine, Carroll County CASA, Alice's House, Neva Lomason Library, and boy and girl scouts (to name a few) to help the youth and families in our area plus District and International causes. A complete list of recipients* receiving funds from the Pancake Breakfast for 2008 - 2009 is available.

The members of the club hold a weekly morning meeting Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Carrollton Presbyterian Church, 14 Maple Street, Carrollton.

Annual Pancake Breakfast

The major fund raiser for the Kiwanis Club of Carrollton Golden K is the annual pancake breakfast held on the four Saturdays in February at the

Maple Street Mansion. In the last fourteen years we have netted between three to four hundred thousand dollars which have been used for local, District, and International causes. The majority of the funds have been used locally to help our youth and families. The breakfast is the big social event of Carrollton and Carroll County. Come join us for this annual event!

UPDATE for February, 2009: The 2009 breakfast netted over $32,000 including profits from advertising.
