Club News
The club is now meeting twice a month - the first and third Wednesdays at 7pm! The "rent fee" has also been rolled back to $1/meeting. The next club meeting is January 2, 2008.
The Christmas party was well attended, the food was terrific, and everyone enjoyed the ornament exchange. Dick Weber, one of our carving buddies in the Seattle, Washington area, also sent in an ornament so he could participate in the exchange.

Seminars
Something fishy is going on here!
Jim Leifeld hosted a trout power carving seminar on Nov 16, 17, and 18. The class worked from a roughout for the body and fins. Jim demonstrated the steps to the group and then moved from carver to carver providing individual instruction. After two plus days of carving the trout was starting to take shape. Everyone was focused on getting the eyes installed and the fins ready for insertion by the end of the seminar. Everyone left with a project he could be proud of and we hope we can talk Jim into a painting seminar early in 2008. Thanks Jim for a great seminar!

* Rex Branson will be conducting a seminar on Nov 27, 28, and 29th. The cost is $125 plus the cost of the blank.
* John Englert is scheduled for a relief carving seminar on Feb 15, 16, and 17th, 2008. The cost is $110 plus the cost of the blank.
For seminars - the doors open in the morning at 8:30am and in the evening at 5:00pm. Typically classes during the day will be conducted from 9am to 5pm and in the evening from 5:00pm to 9pm. Ask your instructor for exact times.
