Caveats:
- these pages are optimized for viewing on a Mac with a 14" or larger monitor
and at least 16-bit color. several of my carefully formatted tables, et al, look
like drek on a PC. this is because of differences between the viewers, and
there's nothing i'm going to do about it. or, rather, it will look better on
one platform than the rest, and i've chosen Mac (besides, Netscape does a
dreadful job with table borders under Windows). similarly, i am aware that some
of the backgrounds aren't dithered very well for screens with 256 colors, but i
don't intend to change them. (for the record, i don't have 16-bit color either,
so i know how you feel.)
- i keep an eye on my pages with Navigator
3.0b3, Mosaic
3.0b2, WebSurfer 3.0, and Internet Explorer 2.0, all for Mac, as well
as Lynx. i've utilized several features that were first found under Netscape
Navigator, and as such they are implemented in such a way that they look best
with that browser. while they won't always look great on a different platform or
under a browser besides Netscape, i've tried to make sure that they are at least
usable, including with Lynx. however, i don't have easy access to try out the
pages with a graphical browser under Windows or X, so if you run into a problem
that makes a page impossible to use, let my know.
- if you've got a specific question about some HTML tags, try my links page first; i've
got a section of links to what i consider the best sources for finding out about
HTML.
Writing Sources
As i get the chance and when i can find the original sources, i'll list here
as many of them as possible.
Feedback
i love to get feedback on my 'Web pages, as that's the only way i can make
them better. besides, i tend to miss some pretty idiotic mistakes on my part, so
i need your help in finding them. At this point, you can use mailto:, or the form below, or just
drop me an email at woodelf@rpg.net. i'm looking
for anything i might be interested
in, in particular, sites for the following music groups: Dead Can
Dance,Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Mickey Hart, Phillip Glass, Rare Air, Toby
Twining, and Trova.
