This is my son Vance at one of the water falls on the Presque Isle River at Porcupine Mnt. National Forest, Michigan
I have been trying to get some pictures together of some of our camping
outings we go on throughout the year. We all enjoy camping and here is a way for me to share
some of our experiences with all of you. To view a picture click on the link in the description below, to return to the photos page click the back button on your browser.
Happy Camping!
Here are a couple of photographs of my sons Dan and Vance taking a dip in a stream
as we were hiking to Greenstone Falls in the Porcupine Mnts., Michigan. It was a warm day
and it was a good thing, that stream was cold! The water had worn a glass smooth natural slide
in the limestone and those kids sure had a great time.
Here are several photographs of the Presque Isle River on the western side of the Porcupine Mnts., Michigan.
The water has worn away the limestone over the years and has created some outstanding scenery to enjoy. I could hardly
believe the natural round tubs that the whirlpools have carved into the solid rock of the banks,
just imagine how long that must have taken.
