Camp Coffee

I normally use an old "cowboy" coffee pot that will make about 20 cups. I just fill it 3/4 full of cold water, add 2-3 handfuls of coffee, bring it to a boil, let her simmer about 10 minutes, drop in some egg shells if I have them, add a cup of cold water to settle the grounds and have at 'er.
I also have a Mirro drip coffee pot that has a basket for the coffee grounds and a section to pour the boiling water in that sets on top. Makes great drip coffee without having to plug it into a wall socket.    (hehehehehe)
Through trial and error we have found that the ol' cowboy pot makes the best tasting coffee out of the two, so the Mirro doesn't see much use, but it is nice to use when I am out canoeing or hiking because it is much smaller.
I'm not sure where you could get a Mirro, I found mine at a yard sale for $.50 and snatched it up in a heartbeat. The cowboy pot I was given as a gift because I spent a lot of time cooking at the camp and I think it was a joke, but no one jokes about the flavor of the coffee it makes!!
