These are two Chinook Salmon taken during the 2001 season here in the Jordan River by Mike Howard and his son Christopher  of East Jordan, MI. These fish were 26 and 27 lb. and you can tell by the look on Chris's face he is on happy fella! Tie into one of these in a river and you have a fight on your hands for sure. If you would like to read about one of Mike's fishing trips on the Jordan River click here to check it out.
Here is a photograph of a 6 lb 5 ounce splake that was 26 inchs long caught in Ontario, Canada by Mark Dinsmore while ice fishing. This is one nice looking fish! Here is one of Mark's daughter Kelsie with her first fish, also caught in Canada. I would say that that is one happy girl, a true testimonial to the idea of taking your children fishing, whether boy or girl!
This was a 36 inch between 16&17 lb. winter steelhead from the scenic Grand River caught in early January, 2001 by Chet Eller. He was floating spawn and this is one of the main methods that I use on these great sport fish.
Here is a Dogtooth Snapper caught in Mexico by Michael Blodgett, this looks like one hard fighting fish. Kind of like a bass on steroids to this fresh water fisherman!
Here is a photo of several stream trout that Dennis Matthews and I caught and had for dinner at one of our fishing spots here in Northern Michigan and let me tell you, they sure tasted good with some fresh hash brown potatoes!

This is a steelhead I caught in the Boyne River in Boyne City, Michigan drift fishing spawn bags through a nice hole on 3/29/00. I was using 4 lb. test and an eleven and one half foot noodle rod, what a blast!
Here's a northern pike caught out of Commerce Lake at last ice by Phil Osmun, 38 IN., 14 LB. 6 OZ. on A salted dead shiner. Nice fish Phil!!!
Phil Osmon also sent in this photo of a 32in.- 9lb.- 5oz. walleye caught through the ice also using a salted shiner. looks like I am going to have to give that trick a try!

Jeff Musial sent in this great photo of a 39.25 in. 22 lb. chinook salmon he caught and you have to read the story behind it! Thanks Jeff for the great addition to the site!
This is my oldest son Danny with a 6 lb 12 oz, 21 inch largemouth bass caught in Weber Lake, Michigan during our 4th of July week camping trip in 1999. he caught it using a black twister tail plastic worm using the twitch and pause retrieve. Not too bad for a 12 year old!!!! He took 1st place in the largemouth bass division of the local fishing contest in 1999 that was held through the Petoskey News-Review with this fish.
Here is Lou Sape enjoying some time on Lake Charlevoix trolling for Lake trout and brown trout around Hemingway Point. Looks like the life, Lou!
This is a photograph of the Cedar River taken while fishing for some stream browns and brookies. Located near Bellaire, MI.
Here is a stream brown caught by yours truly at the Cedar River pictured above. You can see why I like to spend time there.
Here is Spenser, Ryan and Nathan with one whopper of a pike they caught in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Great catch guys!!!!!
The Hosner brothers and friend with their limit of steelhead caught in the spring of 1999 in an undisclosed location. Can't say I blame them for not tellin'!
This is my son Danny, with a nice Splake caught out of Thumb Lake, Mich. He was the only one that day to catch a keeper, and this was his first "large" trout. He caught it through the ice with a jigging pole baited with a large minnow.
Here is one happy little fisher woman! My niece Amber brought this small mouth into camp after a walk down to the lake one morning while camping at Weber Lake, Michigan. Maybe she will give me lessons.........
