Now let me tell you, living in East Jordan (only a stones throw from Boyne City, home of the National Mushroom Festival) I spend many a spring day wandering the woods searching for this tasty fungus.

There are people from all over the nation who flock to this area in search of the first treasure of spring. You can see plates from Ohio, Indiana, Canada and even Florida. I've drove to some of my favorite spots and have passed more cars from out-of-state than from Michigan, and this is in the middle of the boondocks! Hope to see you there!!!
