Morel Mushroom Photos

Photograph by my good friend William Parmer, a native Michigander now living in Aurora, CO.

This is Keith Williams holding the bag so to speak after we took a walk in the northern Michigan woods one spring afternoon.
Here is a photograph taken during one of my tours in 2000. This is just one of many we found that day in one of the best years we have had for white morels in many a moon.
Here is a picture with a false morel on the left and a black morel on the right, many thanks to Ken for sending this one in.

This is my son Vance with a large black morel found in Chandler Hills in 2000, this was the largest black I found. Here is another photo of him holding a couple of large morels, one white and one gray.

Here is a photo of a black morel taken 04/15/98 by Dennis Matthews of Charlevoix, Michigan with his digital camera on a little walk we took in the Boyne City area.
Here is another photo taken by Dennis of two black morels on 04/15/98 in the same area. Hope this gets your blood flowing!
A few mushrooms found by my wife and I on a good day in the woods. Found in the Chandler Hill area.

Another haul of black morels found by myself in the East Jordan area. Note the pop can placed between the piles of 'shrooms to give you some idea as to the size and amount found. These were all picked in about 3 hours of hunting.

A group of white morels, this is the kind of sight that I dream about in the spring!
Here is a great photo of Gary Joe Allen of Sellersburg Ind. with a white morel. Thanks to "Indimana" for sending it in, we can tell you are one happy camper Gary!!!

Some white morels found while golfing by Dennis Matthews in the spring of 1998. Hmmm, what were you doing in the woods in the first place?  ;-)
Here are some photos taken while Jim Bellant Sr. was out mushrooming in Michigan one spring. Here is Jim with a friend of his with a few they found and another that shows Northern Michigan is the place to go to find some good hauls. but be forw
orned!! This what could happen to you if you spend too much time in the woods!
