About Mage Knight
If you like miniature strategy games, and would rather play four games in the time it takes to play one standard miniature games, then MK is probably for you. The rules are very elegant, but the mechanics generally err toward simplicity and speed rather than completeness or realism. Some are turned off by this and the less that beautiful paint jobs especially on the smaller minis. If you play a few games though, you will soon come to realize that MK manages to beautifully balance this simplicity with a great amount of strategic depth.
About Mage Knight Dungeons
This is the newest ruleset for MK. Basically its a dungeon crawl boardgame. The themes are what you would expect: kick monster butt, screw over your opponent, get treasure and get the heck out. It has a very different feel than standard MK, but you use the same miniatures. Wizkids did a great job, although it's a very different game.
About Mage Knight Conquest
The original rules for MK cover skirmishes - 200 pt. battles with usually 4-8 combatants to a side. As one might expect, those rules do not work very well with armies of 100 points. To answer this problem, Wizkids came up with another ruleset. It really is just a variation of the standard MK game, only a few rules were changed, but it does make a big difference on the gaming table. Again, a great job by Wizkids.
