Sorcerers' arcane power comes from fae blood. While many fae learn a few spells, it is very rare for fae to limit themselves solely to the sorcerer class — in fact it is considered odd.

While sorcerers exist in both societies, manifesting this ability is taken as an incontrovertible sign of fae taint in Iconium.. In and of itself the taint is not illegal, it can cause difficulties with the church and has led some to the fiery embrace of the Inquisition. Human sorcerers have a hard lot. Likewise in Faerie, human sorcerers are often mistaken for wizards. This is often regrettable, even if rarely fatal.

Spell Selection

Sorcerers have eons of fae blood to draw upon. While wizards are limited to the spells found in the PHB, sorcerer characters may choose any spell from any d20 product if approved by the DM.

Rule 0: Sorcerers do not need material components to cast spells. If they use them, sorcerers may use the Quicken Metamagic feat. Also, sorcerers using material components, for the purpose of spell resistance, have their effective caster level raised by one.

Rule 0: Arcane spell failure for armor will not be used in Palaestra if the character is proficient in the armor. If not, the spell failure percentage will be used.
