STUDENT (Prestige Class)
ver 1.1
Palaestra is a place where
even the local human baker may participate in deep theological discussions
and where some Cimbri farmer happens to play a mean set of pipes.
At different times in a character's
life she may decide to concentrate on learning more about the skills that
she has gained, or expand her knowledge base. This class may represent
coursework at a specific college, time spent in a monastery, training
provided by a tutor, or merely an emphasis on learning. It can simulate
practical, athletic or scholarly training, or merely natural progression
of skill.

Class Features
Class Skills: A student can pick her class
skills at each level. Also, a student's number of class skills is affected
by his or her Int modifier (positively and negatively).
Skill Focus: The character gains the skill
focus feat for one of the student's chosen class skills.
Lesser Skill Mastery: The student selects
a class skill. When making a skill check with this skill, the student
may take 10 even if stress and distractions would normally prevent her
from doing so.

GM NOTE
This prestige class can easily be turned into a particular
course of study at a famous university. The GM may then provide the player
with several course options which offer certain skills.
