Powerful beings from the Faerie otherworlds often take human and non-human lovers. The brood of such a union are often completely unique creatures with strange powers befiting their Faerie blood. Others are born as exemplars of their mortal parent's race — a little stronger, wiser, and more beautiful than their earthly kin. These progeny they are known as paragons when begat by a seelie godling. Various Faerie cultures other names for these creatures: godwelps, demi-gods, the blooded, godbrood, etc.

Paragon is a template that can be added to any corporeal creature of any nonevil alignment (referred hereafter as the "base creature"). Creatures with the template become "native outsiders" but otherwise the creature type is unchanged.

Paragons have a supernatural connection with the living creatures of this world as well as the home of their outsider parent — some druids and ollaves believe the gods create them as living links between the Faerie otherworlds and this reality.

A paragon uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Speed: +10' to each of the base creature's movement types.

AC: Natural armor improves by +2

Special Attacks: the paragon retains all the special attacks of the base creature. It may also polymorph self 1/day. If it also has a Wisdom or Intelligence of 8 or better it also gains the following spell-like abilities, using its level as the caster level. The ability is usable three times per day unless noted otherwise on the table below.
