Trolblooded is a template that can be added to smaller (non-Giant) humanoid races — although 90% of Trolblooded are ljosalfar.

Trol raids and long-term slave-owning often lead to children of mixed parentage — not that voluntary mating is completely beyond the pale. Trols sometimes breed with other races near their homelands: humans, orcs and very rarely, sidhe. Dekkalfar trolblooded are almost always abandoned by tradition. A few survive, usually when the mother chooses to exile herself or finds fosterage for the child in another community. As with half-orcs, the life of a trolblooded is very difficult.

Trolblooded are always at least 1-2' taller than their non-trol kin. While not necessarily ugly, their features are usually thick, like their trol parent.

A Trolblooded character uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

AC: +2 natural armor

Special Attacks: Trolblooded may cast these spells 1/day: Detect Magic and Read Magic, as a sorceror equal to their level.

Special Qualities: Darkvision 60'

If the base creature already has this special quality, use the better value.
