Welcome to the Home Page for MUNE
What is Mune? Well, from the
ReadMe.txt, it is:
MUNEclient is a library provided to users to use in
conjunction with
the MUNEserver executable to enable them to easily program multi-user
applications over the internet. The main purpose of this project is
for Multi-player games over the internet, but it does not have to be
limited to games.
What to do with the library is up to the user. Currently, it is
not stable nor efficient enough to handle "twitch" games, but it
will very easily handle turn-based programs, as well as other
games which do not require extremely swift responses.
Latest News (May 6th 2003):
I know, this page hasn't been updated in a while, but rest
assured, I'm still working on MUNE. I actually have been doing some
updating the things on the todo list, and fixing some bugs. I hope
to have a new release fairly soon (granted I get some time away from my
girlfriend!)
Old News:
January 16th 2003
First release of MUNE! It's Version 0.9, an Alpha
version, but it's out there for the public to use. If you decide to
give it a try, please give me some
feed back; Bugs, requests, or compliments. I plan on releasing more
versions soon, but I wanted to get this out there, so hopefully others
will give it a shot.
