The tank is filtered by (2) Ehiem 2028 filter which are SILENT.  The white sand is silica sandblasting sand from Menards (similar to Home Depot).  The tank lighting is supplied by (2) 48" Power Glo tubes.  The fish are fed New Life Spectrum pellets by an Eheim Automatic Feeder

Back to white sand, I NEVER siphon the sand, all I do is change the water.

The Stand:

Constructed with oak laminated plywood. The base is actually a face plate that fits over the front of an iron stand.

Raise the tank ~2" with 2X4s, this also allow you to move the tanks away from the wall by sliding the 2X4
